I know I’ve got loads of readers who follow a paleo diet and one thing the paleo diet allows you to eat is bacon.
But is bacon good for your health?
Personally I don’t think it is.
It is a processed meat and most people are eating conventional bacon from the store. It’s full of additvies and presevatives. Sure you can buy premiuim organic bacon without preservatives buy it’s just that…premium price!
I know I can’t afford to pay the premium price myself so I know for a fact most other people don’t.
Look I’m not saying don’t eat bacon, I love bacon sometimes, so I’m just saying it’s not the healthiest option. And since it is a processed meat, you might not want to go burkers on the bacon 🙂

And just remember, these are the facts, so it’s all very well if you want to feel a certain way about bacon or if you believe bacon is okay, or even if you think I’m talking a load of BS, which is what someone else crticised me for.
The fact is that bacon is processed, it does contain additives, it contains LOADS of salt (not sea salt or celtic salt either), and if you’re concerned about your health, the truth is it’s not that good for your health!
